carnifex - graveside confessions

there not many bands out there as consistent as carnifex. i thoroughly enjoy every single one of their albums, "graveside confessions" is no exception. top tier deathcore from start to finish. nice pink/red merge vinyl limited to 1.500 copies. nuclear blast. 2021.

atræ bilis - apexapien

loved the first e.p. "divinihility" by these canadian death dealers and thus was excited for the band's upcoming full length on 20 buck spin. what can i say? "apexapien" came out great, beautiful low key dissonant death metal with mediative melodies. nice orange cloudy vinyl. 2022.

animals as leaders - parrhesia

the new animals as leaders is as fantastic as i hoped it to be. with this they lean more towards my favourite aal record "weightless" and concentrate more on catchy song writing than on technical wizardry. but don't worry, it's a good mixture. all the great trademarks of the band have their place on "parrhesia". couldn't resist the pink vinyl edition. sumerian records. 2022.

decapitated - the first damned

nice compilation release of their first two demo recordings from back in the day. this was initially released in 2000 by polish label metal mind records on cd only. really like this grey marble vinyl edition. limited to 300 copies. nuclear blast. 2021.

body void - bury me beneath this rotting earth

pretty intense doom/sludge metal from the states. never heard of them before, just stumbled upon some pics on insta accidentally. checked it out and when this re-press was available through emp, i pulled the trigger. love that sexy pink vinyl right here. prosthetic records. 2021.

aborted - the archaic abattoir

hands down, my favourite aborted album right here. bought the slipcase cd upon release and got the black og pressing four years ago. that is why i actually didn't want to buy another pressing, especially with increasing shipping costs from france, if i had pulled the trigger on the splatter variant. a respectable shop credit and this nuclear blast exclusive green vinyl variant blew away all my worries, though. love the different artwork to the og pressing. limited to 190 copies. listenable records. 2005/2022.

aborted - goremageddon: the saw and the carnage done

one of my most wanted vinyl re-issues ever. had the slipcase cd for a long long time and always wanted a first press colour copy but second hand prices were ridiculously high. therefore this nice splatter variant limited to 200 copies was a great relief. ordered it directly from the label in france. listenable records. 2003/2022.

aborted - engineering the dead

sophomore album of these belgian grinders from 2001. since then it never had been re-pressed, so it was about damn time. listenable records from france did the job and they did a fantastic one. clear splatter vinyl with re-imagined artwork (this is one of the rare cases where I actually find the new art better than the original). 2022.

enterprise earth - luciferous

overlooked them for quite a while. most likely because it's very good deathcore but nothing beyond that. listening to the album, I don't mind at all anymore. rock solid djenty deathcore that should appeal to every fan of the genre. eone heavy. 2019.
