devangelic - ersetu

the latest full length by these italian stalwart death dealers (a new one seems to be in the making). the album that got me into them. better balanced than the predecessor and a beauty artwork-wise. 200 copies on this random mix. willowtip records. 2020.

artificial brain - infrared horizon (silver splatter pressing)

finally i have this beautiful album on colour vinyl. already have a black vinyl version but was never content with it. bought this through discogs from a slovakian seller. nice dude packed it super well and so it looks pristine. listen to this album, it's simply so good. profound lore records. 2017.

bolt thrower - in battle there is no law

i knew that the first bolt thrower record was the closest to their grind metal roots but i wanted it anyway for completion reasons. well, it is quite a grind metal album and i won't give it as much spins as i give subsequent albums but it's worth a listen from time to time. back on black re-press. 1988/2022.

noctambulist - the barren form

what a beast of blackened dissonant death metal. eyed the sophomore release of these u.s. boys for quite some time but couldn't bring myself to buy directly from willowtip records because of oversea shipping. found this random colour mix on amazon germany. score! 300 copies made. willowtip records. 2021. 

converge & hellchild - deeper the wound split

the last 12" release with converge involvement i needed (would love og pressing of the first two full lengths but come on, those second hand prices are otherworldly). bought this through discogs from a german seller for a good price. pleasing business. of course the converge part wins. 1.800 copies on clear grey with red splatter. cd released on deathwish inc. and vinyl through bastardized recordings. 2001.

crowbar - zero and below

wow, what a strong effort of almighty crowbar. i don't know why, but i couldn't imagine the band to deliver such a beast once more. glad i was proven wrong. top notch crowbar material. get involved! 900 copies on ghostly blue vinyl. eone heavy. 2022.

devangelic - phlegethon

not as good as the most recent album "ersetu" but a worthwhile listen for sure, if you're into extreme death metal. this was released by german label rotten roll rex, of which i never heard of before. they did a great job with this vinyl pressing, though. 100 copies made. 2017.

despised icon - the healing process (gold vinyl re-issue)

had an og pressing of this album for years. the purchase back then was, although i could cross a grail from the list, rather unpleasant (check the band tag below to get to the post). because i wanted a pristine copy without any cover damage, i snagged one of those lovely gold marble lp's. brilliant album. century media. 2005/2022.

despised icon - consumed by your poison

very nice re-issue of the band's debut album, originally released in 2002 on galy records. this is also the first time the album got the vinyl treatment and what a beauty it is. super slick yellow/blue marble vinyl out of 200 copies (i believe). century media. 2022.
