another re-press of a classic that came in handy. this album is pure gold. love the alleister crowley song in particular. re-press from 2021.

strife - angermeans

the early 00's were a weird time especially for victory records bands, it seems. earth crisis had their "slither", integrity their "integrity2000", snapcase their "end transmission", well, and strife had their "angermeans". anyway, i still enjoy it and am very happy that i snagged this lp on ebay fora very fair price. love these very basic vinyl editions of which victory made a few back then. another early 00's oddity.

the contortionist - our bones

the latest e.p. from this american djent/prog metal band. i got meself one of the re-presses of their sophomore release 'intrinsic' from 2012 and really liked it. this e.p. was up for grabs, too and so i couldn't pass on. well, this one is from 2019 and there is a slight shift in sound being more mellow now. not really my taste. e-one entertainment.

cynic - ascension codes

what a great band. "focus" (1993) and "traced in air" (2008) are among my all time favourite metal records and so i was excited for this new release. "kindly bent to free us" from 2014 didn't leave much of an impression but "ascension codes" really hit a nerve with me. i still miss the growls but this new album is a downright return to form. fantastic prog metal all the way through.

cradle of filth - thornography

couldn't get into this album by cof back when it was released in 2006. i wasn't really fond of the goth rock edge the band introduced to their sound. ao this was always missing in my cradle vinyl collection. the new record was a great reminder to finally fill that gap. got this through ebayand with a few spins, i really think it's a pretty cool album which i do enjoy a lot. roadrunner recods. cargo records. 2006.

through the eyes of the dead - bloodlust

finally! had the chance to snag a white copy many moons ago but waited too long and ever since regretted it. second hand prices rose and so this nice re-press comes in handy. red with black marble vinyl released by prosthetic records. 2005/2021.

khemmis - deceiver

this band can do no bad record, it seems. an all around doom metal banger by these americans. waited for a cool vinyl version to surface and in this case patience paid off. super lovely pink/black merge vinyl out of 500 copies. nuclear blast. 2021.

black sabbath - sabbath bloody sabbath

i don't really pursue the classics of rock/proto metal but when there is a shiny colour re-press coming my way, who am i to deny? originally released in 1973. re-issue on bmg music out of 2.500 copies. 2021.
