kingdom of sorrow - behind the blackest tears

finally i found me a copy of the second kingdom of sorow album. after i had the self-titled debut for years, i snagged this grey marble vinyl sucker off ebay eventually. record is superb just as suspected. wouldn't it be great if kirk windstein and jamey jasta were to team up again? it's been eleven years now, so i doubt it... but who knows... relapse records and 1.000 copies pressed. 2010.

blood incantation - interdimensional extinction

this is the first european pressing of the band's first e.p. on century media. i scooped one of the creamy white vinyl copies. the four songs are proggy death metal wizardry as expected.

kreator - under the guillotine box set

everything about this box set is top notch! the replica pressings of the albums, the nice vinyl colours, the book, the bonus dvd, the tape tormentor e.p., the look of the box and the band mascot usb stick - t-o-p n-o-t-c-h!!!!

integrity - closure

the early 00's presented a weird time for integrity and so it is no wonder that their 2001 record "closure" sounds that way. also the circumstances under which the vinyl first press twenty years back was produced are sketchy. dwid now calls it a bootleg pressing and so, to its 20th anniversary, he gave us the first official vinyl edition of "closure". absinthe ice edition out of 100 copies via holy terror records.

vanguard - rage of deliverance

good ol' fashioned vegan straight edge hardcore to which i just couldn't say no. this is their first release and i got the tape version and a shirt alongside the vinyl. second pressing on coke bottle clear with colour splatter out of 290 copies. new age records. 2020.

vile creature - glory, glory! apathy took helm

this is a sludge/doom two piece from canada and they are a couple, too. saw them a few times via social media and thought they were cute but never really checked them out. this changed when the new record was released and boy, it's a cracker! do yourself a favour and take a listen! 250 copies on clear with black swirl via prosthetic records.

after the burial - in dreams

the album was released in 2010 and to its ten year anniversary, sumerian records came up with its first ever vinyl release for their x-mas calendar. i waited like an idiot for the record to sell out in the u.s. store. when i pre.ordered the latest born of osiris record from the u.k. store, i was more than happy to find the record being still available there. didn't hesitate and scooped one of 250 copies.

born of osiris - angel or alien

the band's last two records "tomorrow we die alive" and "soul sphere" were pretty good but to me, they couldn't reach the bar that "the discovery" set in 2011. now ten years later and after the very promising e.p. "the simulation", boo released this banger of an album."angel or alien" is proggy djent metal in perfection. this colour-way is limited to 300 copies and released through sumerian records.

of feather and bone - sulfuric disintegration

missed out on the initial vinyl pressing of this sucker and thought it was about time to accompany my tape edition with a proper vinyl release. not the most exciting colour-ways for this re-press (clear yellow, clear red and clear blue) but beggars can't be choosers, right?!

undeath - lesions of a different kind

that release was heavily hyped upon its release and prosthetic still sells variant after variant. i think the album is quite good but don't believe the hype is deserved. rock solid but not outstanding osdm. got this coke bottle clear edition for christmas. limited to 250 copies.

heaven shall burn - in battle...

finally the first ever vinyl pressing of heaven shall burn's self-released debut e.p. from 1998. they did a couple of marble pressings and this one was exclusive to emp mailorder and limited to 300 copies. classic!

type o negative - october rust the demos

i really love type o negative and therefore i am willed to buy obscure stuff of them rather than from most other bands. this release is supposed to be the unofficial vinyl pressing of a self-recorded tape done by peter steele for his own amusement. he made a handful of copies and gave them to friends such as band member josh silver. years after steele's passing he sold a few memorabilia on ebay, also said tape.
as far as i understand the buyer must have been the one who digitalised and posted it on youtube. the rest is bootleg modus operandi. so far the urband legend. i don't know whether it's true or not but it's definitely fun to listen to these odd bits and ends, despite the rather bad sound quality. read somewhere that 250 copies of this green with black splatter vinyl were pressed.
