demons run amok pt. I: deliver, lie & wait

this is part one of two of my demons run amok order:

deliver - lack of resistance 7"
this german five-piece out of the stuttgart area is one of my more recent discoveries. they signed a deal with demons run amok entertainment which allows them to throw out a picture 7" every quarter of a year. as i could read they plan to make a whole album out of it in the end. i'm pretty excited about what the future will bring.
so this is picture disc #2 entitled 'lack of resistance'. like the first release 'deliverance' (of which i posted here) it's enjoyable hardcore with a good portion of melody. the band itself made one or two line-up changes but they stood true to their musical style. so if you liked 'deliverance' you'll like this as well. you can download their stuff on their very own website and after you listened to it you can enter the label's store to purchase a copy :)
the whole package
side 1
side 2
like 'deliverance' this is limited to 300 handnumbered copies. demons run amok entertainment. 2012.

lie & wait-lmf split 7"
i wanted this more for the sake of completion because lie & wait did really grow on me. as i already own all their follow up releases (as you can read here and here) i just needed the split with lmf from 2006. i was lucky to find it at demons run amok and included it thankfully in this order. the lie & wait songs are cool, not as good as the later stuff but nice to hear their development. lmf though is just not my taste.
couldn't find any pressing info. by all means there are three colours of it (opaque teal, clear gold, clear blue) and mine, the clear blue, seems to be the more common variation. wormhole records. 2006.

per koro: lie & wait/overdose, reign supreme, 6rtk/absidia

lie & wait-overdose split 7"
since i already call led astray + the awakening my own i wanted to have all their releases. there are just two more, two split releases to be precise. one with a band called lmf from 2006 and another with overdose from 2007 of which i talk about here. at first i ordered it from the band's own web shop. in vain, it appeared because the band isn't around no more and that's why they don't run it anymore. so, like so many times before, i checked the per koro shop and made a find. the lie and wait song is great. the overdose side is cool too. solid hardcore punk with a unique singing style. don't know if overdose is still there or if they released more stuff but i'm not too stoked to find out.
lie and wait side with way more swirl
overdose side with just a tiny bit of the purple colour.
grey w/ purple swirl vinyl. 400 made. team science records/triple b records. 2007.

reign supreme - american violence 7"
i really loved their first full length album testing the limits of infinite and so i just needed more! this was the forerunner in 2008 and it's just lovely :) great modern hardcore with a high level of energy. i missed them live in hamburg because of an lack of information, damn it! got to catch them some other time.
while my fellow blogger j@screamingforrecords can be quite sure of the pressing number of his colour variation i don't really know what i have here. the info on the deathwish records (to which malfunction records belongs) site says the following: 300 red w/ black haze, 700 red w/ black splatter and 1000 red. so is my white w/ pink splatter of a 2nd pressing or what?

six reasons to kill/absidia split - the morphology of fear
i know that this split exists for quite some time (since 2004 or something) but i never felt like i need to own it. that was mainly because i'm not a big 6rtk fan. i know some later stuff and they are an ok band but nothing more. checking the cheapo section at per koro i found it on coloured vinyl and saw myself kind of drawn to it. i listened to the absidia songs and knew why. they're great! edge metal in the vain of heaven shall burn! good stuff. still don't really like the 6rtk part but absidia alone made this worth the purchase.
wonderful presentation! lovely artwork + lp sized booklet + opaque brown w/ black splatter vinyl. cd version by bastardized recordings. vinyl version by per koro records. 2002.

triple-B: lie and wait

lie and wait - led astray
i spied this band while i was looking for the label that released the last dead end path record. after i found out that triple B records was the sought after label, dead end path just doesn't really grab me (if you're interested in this lp just check the stuff of my fellow blogger lenny/theemergingaddiction). so i just checked what else they had in store. it wasn't really much but lie and wait just caught my attention. listened to them on the net and didn't waste a second to check my cart out. next to their e.p. 'led astray' from 2007 i grabbed the 2008 7" 'the awakening'. all together for a price that was lower than the shipping costs because their stuff is on clearance. to give you an idea they remind me a lot of cruel hand, a shame they disbanded...

'led astray' on really nice white with blue swirl vinyl. looks awesome and makes a good match with the cover art. one sided. 350 made.

'the awakening' 7" on tri-colour vinyl (white/black/clear yellow). 300 made.
