afterbirth - the time traveler's dilemma

boy, this tech/prog death metal band from new york left me craving for more with their latest album "four dimensional flesh". thus i needed the debut and predecessor as well. it wasn't too difficult to get a hand on a copy of "the time traveler's dilemma" for a decent price. musically this is on par with "four dimensional...", if not better. unique leader records.

i had a long way to go with afterbirth. been eyeing their stuff in the past because they are on unique leader records but never really got into them. that changed with their new album "four dimensional flesh".

i listened to the single " never ending teeth" and it finally clicked. their super proggy death metal approach with those uber guttural lyrics makes for a really unique listening experience. the mint marble vinyl is awesome, too. unique leader records. 2020.
