ebay: empty handed, bleed into one

empty handed - perspectives 7"
i got to know this band by reading a fanzine called 'project print'. i discovered some other bands through the same way as you can read here. empty handed is a young band from leipzig, germany and they formed in 2009, i think. they play some modern, emotional hardcore i would call it. reminds me of verse and carpathian. it was actually released in 2011 as a co-release of four labels: blackheart inc., anchored rec., heads down rec. and shitpiece rec. two colour ways were made back then. a blue/black and a white with black marble version. i missed it in 2011 and as it had sold out, ebay was the best opportunity.
the seller loaded up a pretty blurry picture of the record but i was pretty sure it was the blue/black vinyl. i won the record for a really reasonable price and as i opened the package i was surprised that what was in front of me was the more limited white or better grey with black marble version with an even unused download dropcard. cool thing!
the second press is up now at blackheart inc. bigcartel. first press: 100 on grey with black marble vinyl and 200 on blue/black vinyl. 2011.

bleed into one 7"
this may be the last release of bleed into one according to musik-sammler.de. a shame that is because it's really good. the songs of side a are just class a! a whole record that way and they would have gone through the roof! side b isn't that overwhelming but still good.
it came out in 2010. don't know if it's some kind of farewell release but they broke up shortly after that, i think. it was released on final exit records. stunning how many little d.i.y. labels are around in germany.
i got this 7" from the same seller and it came for cheap too. a real bargain with this two 7"es. i didn't find any pressing information on this one but considering the small popularity of both, label and band, i doubt it was more than 500. don't know about other colours as well.
final exit records. 2010.

district 763: to kill, bleed into one

to kill – when blood turns into stone
this one here wasn't foremost a big want because of the musical content of this record but because of the availability. i mean i knew this was a pearl of the newer european straight edge hardcore so i wanted it anyway but the fact that this was pressed on 100 coloured copies only and that i couldn't find it at any distro in europe awoke the hound in me. it was hard to come by on ebay. to be exact it didn't show up for the half year i was looking for it. that may be not a long time compared to a search for a 'real' rare record – test pressings, special record release versions and stuff like that. but in my own perception it was an eternity. and then, one lucky day i came across the internet shop of district 763 records. it caught my attention because my uncle's band is part of their roaster. their shop wasn't much of a look when it comes to the vinyl. all in all maybe 10 records in total but the right ones!
musically you get fast hardcore with some metal parts, reign supreme came to my mind as a comparison. sound wise it was polished by tue madsen in his antfarm studios, so it's a great listen. lyrics about the straight edge and animal rights for the deliberate consumer. good stuff of this, by now disbanded, italians. great cover art, too plus a matching vinyl colour scheme.
clear red with white and black splatter. printed dust sleeve. 100 made as pre-order version. demons run amok entertainment. 2008.

bleed into one – the scars remain
i actually ordered this at discogs last year. problem at the time was that the seller gave it away in a trade or as a gift and forgot about it. so he gave me a refund. i could have have it on white vinyl but i definitely wanted the rarer yellow version. again i decided to wait for it at the bay. so this was a nice 'side effect' and perfect to make the order worthwhile. because, like every collector knows, ordering just one record is a waste of shipping costs.
boy, compared to their first record 'words can't save us now' they made a huge step forward in every sense. the music is more gripping, the sound more to the point and straight forward – a real scorcher! if i had to find anything to be criticized, it'd be the hefty madball consumption of the band. but rather a damn good copy than a bad own idea.
this is a co-release of respond with passion records, vinyl junkies and break your frame records liscensed by demons run amok entertainment, which put out the cd version. man, i really love d.r.a. entertainment releases. d.r.a. got new stuff on pre-order and i'm all over it!
couldn't find any pressing info on this. comes with a different artwork than the cd version and a big poster insert. clear yellow vinyl. 2009.

DRA order: Alcatraz, Strength Approach, Bleed Into One

alcatraz - smile now cry later
first time i heard of them was in a mailing list e-mail of demons run amok entertainment as the label advertised this release + i know the two songs of their split 7" with berlin's final prayer. there was one new song on the label's soundcloud site and i decided to buy it eventually. very energetic hardcore like death before dishonor, terror and the like. very good presentation and as an extra you get the demo from 2005 included on the lp!
white vinyl. 150 made. download code.

strength approach - with or without you
straight up italian hardcore.
i was pretty pissed as i missed them on this year's rebellion tour with madball, H2O and first blood in hamburg. they started playing at 18.30 and my girlfriend and me were stuck in traffic jam :(
anyway, the record is pretty good and i just have to catch them live at another time.
it's pressed on awesome marbled neon orange vinyl (100 made). just like with the alcatraz record, i love the idea of making the lyrics insert and the dust sleeve for the record one thing. + download code

strength approach - stand your ground 7"
i don't really like SA first full length "all the plans we made are going to fail" but this 7" is pretty much in the vein of their newest album. great artwork by dave quiggle.
clear red with black smoke vinyl.

bleed into one - words can't save us now
german oldschool hardcore similar to agnostic front or madball. it was on sale and so i thought i give it a shot. the pic suggests that the sleeve is a gatefold cover but it's just a double printed fold out paper of thick quality. that's cool though :)

all records out on demons run amok entertainment
