as nightmarer is some kind of follow-up band to war from a harlots mouth (main song-writer and guitarist simon and drummer paul play in nightmarer), one should think it was easy to keep track for a wfahm fan like me. but somehow i completely missed out. didn't hear anything from them until this year. bought the e.p. "chasm" and now i finally got my hands on the debut "cacophony of terror".
the album is a deeply disturbing, intense and yet beautiful experience. packed with dissonance, doom, sluge and any kind of extreme metal, "cacophony of terror" sinks its claws in you and won't let go. got a left-over copy on gold marble vinyl via the supreme chaos records distro. season of mist. 2018.
