for the first two albums ozzy's solo band was under contract at jet records from england. later pressings were issued by epic records and as i only had one of those copies, i was happy to track down an european first pressing. jet records. 1981.

ozzy osbourne - blizzard of ozz (og pressings)

since i only had a re-issue copy of ozzy's groundbreaking solo debut, i was on the look out for an 80's copy. it became real fun to chase down reasonable priced copies and so i ended up buying three of them over the course of a few months.

the two copies in the upper and lower left corner are jet european first pressings and basically the same (apart from the cool sticker on the front of the upper copy). the one on the right is an re-issue from 1987 on epic records, as they bought the jet records back catalogue of ozzy's recordings, when he moved labels for 'bark at the moon'. jet records, epic records. 1980/1987.

between the buried and me - the blue nowhere

another slab of great prog metal by one of my favourite bands. the classics will always rank higher for me, but 'the blue nowhere' will see a lot of play time on my turntable. couldn't resist this special edition out of 1.500 copies. inside out music. 2025.

ozzy osbourne - bark at the moon (japan pressing)

was actually looking for an u.s. american pressing of 'bark at the moon', because of the song 'slow down' and the different tracklist to the euro versions. as the japan pressings are identical to the u.s. lp's, i was happy with this one, too. me copy is missing the additional 7" but comes with intact obi. cbs/sony. 1983.

the red chord - clients

another 2000's metalcore gem getting the vinyl treatment and i'm all over it. still have the cd of the red chord's sophomore full length. the pressing does the superb album justice. 200 copies made on orange/mint merge vinyl. metal blade. 2005/2025.

bolt thrower - ...for victory

earache re-issued a shit load of titles of their back catalogue all on white vinyl lately. so i finally picked up a copy of this bolt thrower classic, which was missing in my collection for far too long. earache records. 1994/2025.

iron maiden - no prayer for the dying

found this og pressing on a flea market for a tenner. can't go wrong with that! this record marked the beginning of the weird 90's phase for iron maiden and metal in general. still an entertaining listen. emi records. 1990.
